I'm so sick of hearing "you're not alone." "You'll feel better one day." "You'll get through this."
I just need to put my feelings into words. Writing is my one form of therapy right now. Writing is my outlet. But why? Why now?
I've found that too many blogs share only the happiest moments in life. Although these bloggers have good intentions, it often feels like I'm the only one suffering. In a world with billions of people, I know I can't be the only one who isn't happy every single day—and that’s exactly why I created this blog.
In 2016, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease and have been documenting my journey on Instagram. Most recently, I’ve been encouraged by friends and family to write a book. I’m not ready to write a book, though, so this blog is my way of dipping my toes in the water of writing.
I write to share my experiences and how I’ve coped with my new life. I’ll be writing about the good, the bad, and everything in between. I want this blog to offer hope to those who are suffering from a similar condition, but also to those who have no idea what they’re going through.
